Roquette to promote polyols at Sino Dental 2005 China

Roquette will be present at the 10th edition of SINO-DENTAL organized by the International Health Exchange and Cooperation, in association with the Chinese Stomatological Association. SINO-DENTAL is one of the biggest exhibitions of dental equipment and facilities in China. Seminars, including many topics on practical advanced dental technology and on new clinical practice, will be held during the congress.
Roquette will highlight its dental health promoting polyols, an extensive range of non-sugar bulk sweeteners including Maltitol, Xylitol, Sorbitol, Mannitol and Maltitol Syrup.
With an estimated five billion people worldwide experiencing dental decay, tooth decay remains a serious health issue, which can only intensify the call for more sugar-free confectionery. In substituting sucrose in candies, chocolate or chewing gum, polyols avoid sucrose intakes and so effectively contribute to reducing the development of dental cavities.
Roquette has used the internationally recognized pH-telemetry test to scientifically prove the non-cariogenicity of its polyols. Positive pH-telemetry tested polyols are recognized as safe for teeth by Authorities as the US Food and Drug Administration, which consider all polyols as equivalent when it comes to fight cavities. As such polyols are key partners involved in Global Caries Prevention Programs.
