AGROSPHERES 2008 Meeting
Food and Vitality: more than a trend, a reality.

Last 31st January 2008 in Amiens, France, a meeting was organized by AGROSPHERES, a centre of excellence dedicated to the exploitation and promotion of agricultural resources and agronomic industries.
The theme of the meeting was "Food and Vitality: more than a trend, a reality" and individual talks and round-tables took place throughout the day. The topics included food balance, developments in health, vitality and nutrition through all stages of life, and the challenge for research and training structures represented by the relationship between the food processing industry and health.
Food processing industries were invited to bear witness to their commitments in these crucial concerns. In addition to Danone, Bonduelle and the ANIA as representatives of the food industry in general, Roquette was active in this meeting through the presence of its Nutrition and Health Manager, Marie-Hélène Saniez-Degrave.
Mrs Saniez’s talk was aimed at giving evidence of Roquette’s involvement in these concerns.
Roquette is conscious that, as an ingredient manufacturer and major provider for the food industry, it has an impact on food components and their physiological effects on well-being, she said.
Moreover, Roquette manufactures ingredients specifically dedicated to nutrition, such as fibers.
She concluded: Roquette’s choice of products, manufacturing processes and ethical approaches demonstrates its commitment to sustainability and the environment.
More than 230 participants attended this very successful meeting, which was widely covered on regional television and newspapers. Roquette may pride itself on being recognized as a key player in such crucial concerns for our population and the earth.
